The 2025 Speedo Winter Junior Championships: Day 1 Combined East/West Results

Day 1 Highlights:
Girls' 1000 Yard Freestyle:
- The West's Sydney Schoeck from CSP Tideriders claimed the top spot with a time of 9:32.29, setting a new record. The East's Elizabeth Eichbrecht from NOVA followed closely behind with 9:39.02.
- The 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 NAG records were set by Katie Ledecky, showcasing her dominance in the sport.
Boys' 1000 Yard Freestyle:
- Colin Jacobs from France's Antibes team dominated the East with a time of 8:48.22, surpassing the West's winner, Ellis Crisci, by 6.5 seconds.

Girls' 200 Yard Medley Relay:

Boys' 200 Yard Medley Relay:
- Waterloo Swimming's team of Benjamin Jaggers, Max Laine, Austin Ross, and Julian Rusk set a new West meet record of 1:26.96, showcasing their prowess.
- The East's relays were tightly contested, with only half a second separating the top 5 teams.
Girls' 800 Yard Freestyle Relay:
- The East's TAC Titans team, led by Finola Whelehan, Reina Liu, Carolin He, and Sloane Whelehan, claimed the top spot with a time of 7:09.42, outperforming the West's Sandpipers of Nevada.
