Google Unveils Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1 Update: A Sneak Peek at the Latest Improvements
Android enthusiasts, brace yourselves! Google has just dropped a new beta update, Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1, for its Pixel devices. This release comes just four weeks after the previous iteration, but here's the intriguing part: it's not labeled as Beta 3. What's more, Google's release notes are keeping the specifics under wraps, leaving us with a few questions.
The patch is rolling out to the following devices:
- Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7 Pro (CP11.251209.009)
- All other remaining devices (CP11.251209.009.A1)
While we're not seeing the update immediately on our devices, the latest OTA images are available for download. Interestingly, there are no images provided for the Pixel 10 series, which might be a separate release.
This update is still the January 2026 security patch, and it's available for a wide range of devices, including the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, 9a, 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold. If you were previously enrolled in the Android 16 QPR3 Beta program and haven't opted-out, you'll automatically receive this update and any future Beta releases.
