The BYD Atto 3 Evo, an electric crossover, has been unveiled for global markets, promising an 800V high-voltage system, 4WD, and faster charging. This new model will accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and charge from 10 to 80% in a mere 25 minutes. The Atto 3 Evo is an evolution of the original Atto 3, which became one of the first BYD-branded new energy cars to go global four years ago. In China, it's known as the Yuan Plus. The Atto 3's new generation was exposed by the Chinese regulator in October 2025, revealing a substantial power and range boost. The Atto 3 Evo features a new 800V high-voltage system and a larger 74.88 kWh battery pack, enabling rapid charging from 10 to 80% in just 25 minutes at DC stations. The entry-level model boasts a single rear-axle e-motor producing 230 kW (308 hp) and 380 Nm, a 107 hp increase over the current Atto 3. This e-motor's relocation from the front to the rear axle results in a 5.5-second acceleration to 100 km/h for the RWD version, with a 650 km range under CLTC conditions. The 4WD variant offers up to 510 km of range, thanks to the 74.88 kWh battery pack, and features a five-link independent rear suspension. The Atto 3 Evo's exterior design remains largely unchanged, with subtle modifications like the charging port's relocation to the rear fender. Dimensions are 4455/1875/1615 mm with a 2720 mm wheelbase, and a 101-liter frunk enhances practicality. The interior features a stalk gear shifter, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, and a spacious 490-liter trunk.
