Bali hotels have made a significant move in leadership.
BALI, 22 December 2025: Earlier this month, the Bali Hotels Association (BHA) convened for its Annual General Meeting (AGM), where they officially appointed a new chairperson and vice chair for the year 2026.
Representatives from 171 hotels across Bali gathered to participate in this pivotal meeting, which resulted in the election of Fransiska Handoko as the new Chair and Simona Chimenti as Vice Chair. Handoko is the General Manager of Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali, while Chimenti holds the position of General Manager at The Pavilions Bali. This transition in leadership follows the tenure of Franklyn Kocek, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Seminyak, who previously held the chair.
Fransiska Handoko is not a newcomer to the BHA; she had the distinction of being the first female chairperson back in 2022. Upon taking up her role once more, she highlighted the critical need for hotels to adapt to the changing landscape of tourism regulations and to embrace sustainable practices. Her vision includes fostering sustainability, enhancing collaboration between hotels and government entities, and promoting responsible tourism throughout Bali's vibrant hospitality sector.
"It is an honor to take on the role of Chair of BHA again. In 2026, our focus will be on reinforcing our dedication to sustainable hospitality, nurturing local talent, and speeding up initiatives that allow our industry to meet ever-evolving global standards. Together with our members, we aim to further establish Bali as a leader in tourism that is both responsible and deeply rooted in its cultural heritage," stated Fransiska with enthusiasm.
With the new leadership duo at the helm, the association plans to concentrate on forming strategic partnerships, driving growth through innovation, and enhancing Bali's standing as a premier destination on the world stage.
